The instructors at Creative Guitar come from different backgrounds, but all have one
thing in common: They are all active working professionals in the music business.
Throughout the school year different guest artists will also visit and teach at the
school. These guest instructors will appear as their schedules permit.

Andrew
Wasson Chief Academic Officer and Principal Guitar Instructor Andrew founded Creative Guitar Studio in 1992. He has studied in Canada and the United States at the Musicians Institute, (G.I.T.), in Hollywood, California. Greg Lowe Guitar Instructor Greg is one of Canada’s most respected jazz guitar performers and jazz educator’s. He writes and produces music for planetarium shows, theatre, and radio drama. He has recorded four full length jazz guitar albums and is the author of the Creative Guitar Studio book, “Advanced Guitar Technique.” |

Barry G. Player Guitar Instructor Barry is an established player in Western Canada’s music scene. He is a graduate of Hollywood, California's Guitar Institute of Technology, (G.I.T.), and he is the regional winner of Canada's, “Guitar Warz,” competition. Barry has extensive experience as a nightclub, concert, session player, and instructor. |

Tim Cummings Guitar Instructor Tim is a highly respected jazz guitarist with extensive live and studio experience across Canada. He has performed with The Moscow Circus, Disney on Parade and the Winnipeg Symphony. |

Tony Des Marteau Guitar Instructor Tony has recorded and performed with institutions such as; CBC Radio & Television, The National Ballet of Canada and the National Film Board. He has played and toured with; the Eli Herschcovich Big Band, Marilyn Lerner, Ron Paley, and Stefan Bauer. Tony is a highly sought after club and session guitarist. |

Derrick Gottfried Guitar Instructor Derrick is a highly respected rock guitarist. He has released three CD’s and performed across Canada with renown players like; Patrick Moraz, Randy Coven, and Phil X. He currently performs with his band, “Star 69.” |

Murray Pulver Guitar Instructor Murray Pulver has recorded and toured the world with BMG recording artists, “The Crash Test Dummies.” He has also played with, and produced a number of local studio projects including; Amanda Stott, The Wyrd Sisters, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and Longbottom. |
