| About Sweptline Truck Restoration Services... In 1998, I purchased and worked on a 1970 Dodge Challenger for three years. As a break from the '70 Challenger, I slowly became more interested in the Dodge pick-up trucks. Particularly the 1961-1971 model years. I combed the internet and collected tons of information on them. As well, I purchased every book I could find on these truck models and I also bid on and won many items on eBay. I collected a great deal of original dealer brochures, emblems, trim parts, lenses, marker lamps, bumpers, grills, fenders, original dealership parts manuals, etc. Most of my materials and parts collection is of the 1969 - 1971 truck model years. I have however amassed a great deal of knowledge and factual information regarding the 1961 - 1968 model years as well. In 2002 I purchased a couple of Dodge trucks and began a restoration project. The trucks were a 1970 Dodge, "Dude," Custom D100 pick-up truck, and a 1970 Adventurer pick-up truck. These trucks were in beyond horrible condition. In fact, most of these model years are! Even the ones from Texas and Arizona seem to have rusted to one degree or another. One of the worst aspects of restoring these particular trucks is that there are virtually no reproduction or replacement parts available at all. To find replacement parts one must either find them from scrapyards or farmer's fields, or as we prefer, custom metal fabricated. Custom fabricating allows for a perfect fit every time. This is why I have established, "Sweptline Truck Restoration Services." The only service currently available dedicated to helping those interested in purchasing and/or restoring the 1961-1971 Dodge and Fargo pick-up truck models. If you are currently restoring, planning a restoration, or are just a fan of these model years, please drop by for visits as we update and add to this site. Sincerely, |
